Well we actually had one dry day this week, just one! Hoping that we miss some of the holiday weekend showers so we can do some actual farming, its been muddy for long enough. The picture I posted is a peach salad that my friend made and sent me the recipe, it was amazing and I wanted to share with you all. She made it with fresh peaches, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, our salad mix and her awesome dressing. The dressing is 3 parts olive oil, and 1 part red wine vinegar. Then she added a teaspoon(can add more for bigger salads) of whole seed Dijon mustard, pinch of salt, and some fresh ground pepper. So easy and delicious! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
