Week 1 of 20; Summer 2019 Chicken Share-Coopers CSA Farm Happenings

Posted on May 31st, 2019 by Coopers CSA Farm

Good Afternoon!

Some things if you are new or just a reminder to our veterans,

  • Make sure you have your preferences set for all of the meat cuts, this is how your share will be made up!
  • All chicken shares come FROZEN. Home delivery members, please leave out a cooler with icepacks if you don't plan to be home for delivery.
  • We have an extras section for shopping for pre-made meals & preserves.

New Farm Happenings:

  • Pasture Raised:  Not to be biased... but we think pasture raised makes a huge difference in meat taste & quality
  • BIG Birds: A the beginning of every season, it takes us a bit to get the birds on the right eating schedule. This months birds were really grazing and are very large. Normally we have a 4-5lb bird, this month they will 6lb+. Invite the family over for some chicken because there is going to be lots of it! This will be adjust for next months share.

A reminder that our meat is lean with no preservatives, so watch your cooking times and temps! Our cuts tend to cook fast & you don't want to dry out the meat.

~Please return red cooler bags!~

Have a nice weekend!
