Week 4 Winter/Spring Cooper's CSA Farm Happenings

Posted on December 14th, 2018 by Coopers CSA Farm

Here arrives another week of our Winter CSA!

We hope everyone is having a good holiday season so far. We are having a typical farmer holiday season, which means nothing wants to work because of the cold.

As most of you may know, we actually make our own feed for our livestock. We grow corn and a mixture of grains to harvest and store to make feed for the next year. This fall harvest has now turned into winter harvest thanks to the rain, snow, and breaking equipment causing us to really prolong this harvest. Just as we got started on our corn fields, our BRAND NEW tractor decided to stop working, which means no corn is making it to our storage bins, woohoooo. I'm starting dislike winter a litter more every year. Besides this fun, other new things around the farm is some completed projects and possibly some moms added to our cow herd. This spring will be our first calving season in a very long time so you can expect lots of cow talk and pictures come spring!

In other non-farm news,

We have a NEW Holiday Festive Jam available in your extras (limited quantity). It really smells like Christmas. We also have a few items on sale that you can check out. Our 250ml size jams and preserves make really could x-mas presents...

If you ever order jams or preserves, we do re-use the jars if you send them pack to us ! We also like the boxes and the red bags returned.

**IMPORTANT**

This is our last delivery week for a month. We take our farm vacation from Dec. 23 to Jan. 12th 2019. Please email us if you need anything but try not to as we are on "vacation".

Our member X-mas draw will be happening this Thursday so watch your email as will will announce our 3 winners.
