Week 9 Summer 2019 Veggie Box Share; Coopers CSA Farm Happenings

Posted on July 26th, 2019 by Coopers CSA Farm

Things are growing! Many more coming as we move forward. Tomatoes, melons, raspberries, & peppers are all very big, just waiting for them to ripen.

New Farm Happenings:

  • A reminder PLEASE RETURN/PUT OUT YOUR SHARE BOXES AND RED BAGS. WE NEED THEM BACK!!
  • New Items: Green & Yellows Beans. Strawberries will be back in a week or two.
  • Corn!! See the picture** We were scouting the other day (July 25th), and we opened up a cob to see its progress. Kernels are forming well, we just need a little more heat & rain to ripen the cobs! We are very close to corn season.
  • Roam Tomatoes:  If any of you are sauce makers, please send us an email if you would like to purchase & order a bushel or half bushel of them. We like to know well in advanced so that we can split the crop for what is needed for shares & orders.
  • 48 Hours off of the Farm: Lisa and I went on our monthly trip to get a little break. We really appreciate that our son Trenton & his Fiance Kelsey, can tend to the farm with out burning anything down. We visited Turkey Point down by lake Erie. We enjoyed staying in a lovely Air BnB, good food, & Tree Top Trecking/ Zip lining! We recommend that spot for a fun trip.

That's all for now
