New Farm Happenings:
- A reminder PLEASE RETURN/PUT OUT YOUR SHARE BOXES AND RED BAGS. WE NEED THEM BACK!!
- New Items: Garlic scapes, snow peas, broccolini, potatoes, field cucumbers, zucchini and pickling cucumbers!
- Corn!! in 2 weeks. We know its late but heat and rain are bringing it on fast.
- Now is the time for pickling cucumbers!! if you want a large order for preserving contact us directly and we can set you up with a 1/2 bushel, full bushel or more.
- Exciting news!! Kelsey has taken on the role of applying for funding to do improvements around the farm. Last fall fall she landed some grant money through the provincial Environmental Farm Plan program to upgrade some fencing for the animals. Now she has just got word we qualified for a 50% cost share through the federal program CAP (Canadian Agricultural Partnership) to upgrade and improve our packing shed. Way to go Kelsey!, we look forward to starting this project in the fall.
