What is your fall indulgence? How do you celebrate and enjoy the new season? Are you an apple picker? I’ve been picking apples in the fall for the past few years and enjoy the event and sampling the produce. Do you enjoy watching football on the weekends? The Bills are looking good so far this year! Is leaf gazing your thing? The vibrant oranges and reds and yellows never cease to amaze and astound me. How about hayrides and corn mazes? I’ve heard good things! Haunted houses are always a seasonal favorite and a good test of heart strength.

I can think of a million reasons why fall is a great season, but it really is more of a feeling. The feeling of wearing a few layers to adjust to the changing temperatures throughout the day. The feeling of homecomings and hometown festivities. The feeling of cold cheeks and noses. The feeling of leaves crunching under your feet, fragrant in the shallow afternoon sun. Mmmm, it sure is a feeling.

In whatever you do, make sure to make memories because this season, like the last, is fleeting and we need to enjoy the bounty it provides while it’s here!

Eat well and enjoy.
