Common Roots Urban Farm Newsletter #4

The beginning of summer has been kind to us. The nice weather has given some of our plants a good chance to take root and allowed others to catch up a bit from our extended cool spring. The abundant sunshine has our kale climbing and our tomatoes towering. It also means that some of the things you may have seen to begin the season won’t be seen until it starts to cool off a little bit (A long ways away).

We are glad to be able to provide CSA pickups at Roswell but we also want to extend the invitation for you to come visit the farm sometime. It allows us to display our hard work and for our share members to appreciate THEIR farm. We run a farmstand every Saturday from 11-3pm and we also host another CSA pickup during that time too. You can feel free to reschedule your pickup to the farm location one week perhaps? We have ducks, chickens, honeybees, and just a few dogs..ok, well actually five!

Beginning in early July we will resume attending farmers markets! We are looking forward to meeting new people, seeing old friends and selling great fruits and veggies. On July 8th the Market at Roswell will resume and we will be distributing your CSA shares there from 11-1:30. YAY!

We hope you’re staying healthy in mind and body and continue to do so! See you soon.

Eat well and enjoy.
