Time to customize your share for Week 3!

Spring Greetings!

Are you enjoying your Collective Harvest share so far? Please feel free to let me know how we're doing. I sincerely appreciate your patience as we orient ourselves to this very busy start to our biggest CSA season ever. There are SO many little things to keep track of and I'm confident that we will operate more and more smoothly every week.

Here are are the news and notes for this week:

Have you checked out our handy Produce Info and Storage Guide? It tells you more about the produce you'll receive in your share and gives you storage tips to lengthen its life. I find that the easiest way to use it is to use the "find" function on your keyboard by holding down the "ctrl" button and hitting the "f" button at the same time. Then input your produce item-- "spicy salad mix" for instance-- and find every mention of it in the guide.

We have some new vendor products this week! The folks at Banner Butter have crafted a few spring varieties-- Lemon Chive and Strawberry Mint. Get them while they last-- they won't be around long. And Hobo Cheese is now offering their "bloomy rind" cheese, Sky Pilot

Also, next week we are introducing... locally crafted KOMBUCHA from Figment Craft Kombucha, made right here in Athens! In case you've never tried kombucha, it's a delicious probiotic beverage made by fermenting tea and sometimes adding juices, herbs or spices for flavor. It's a low-sugar drink packed with beneficial bacteria, vitamins and minerals to promote a healthy gut, energy and immune system. We are offering Figment Kombucha in 32 oz and 64 oz growlers. Your first purchase will include a $5 bottle purchase, but you'll get $5 off your next purchase if you bring your empty bottle back.

If you are looking for more info on any of our vendor products, remember to check out the "Vendor Products" page on our website.

Finally, here's an update from our brother & sister farm team, Ben and Melissa Legette. Their farm is in Washington, GA and that cute little lamb in the picture is their bottle fed success story!

"The farm is exploding! Our Spring Garden is packed with greens, lettuce and strawberries, the potatoes seem to double by the day, and our transplants for the Summer Garden are looking healthy and happy. But enough about the veggies -- those of you who follow us on Instagram and Facebook know all about our bottle-fed lamb, Mae. She will be six weeks old this Wednesday! She has successfully rejoined the flock and enjoys her daily snuggles and milk."

If you're not already following Lazy Willow on Instagram or Facebook, I highly recommend it! It's a great way to get your daily dose of pastoral bliss.

Yay for Spring! Let's get our greens on!
