It's time to customize your share for next week!

We have tons of exciting options coming your way, including "Cute Stuff" mini bell pepper mix, figs, arugula (my favorite salad green!) and a limited number of muscadines... We also have a new variety of Figment Kombucha-- "Jasmine Mojito"-- brewed in small batches right here in Athens! The first time you purchase Figment Kombucha, your order will include a $5 bottle purchase, but next time you order it, you will get $5 off if you bring back your empty growler. Figment cleans and sterilizes them and uses them again... Less waste, more kombucha! For more info about any of our vendor products, check out our website

If you have an Independent Baking Co. Bread Share, this week your bread will be....

French Country!

Mixed grain bread of the French countryside with heirloom stone-ground wholegrain wheat, spelt, and rye flours.

This week, we have a farm update from Jacqui Coburn, one of the founders of Collective Harvest and owner of Front Field Farm in Winterville:

"Life at Front Field Farm feels like it has been going at about 90 miles a minute.  Once the CSA started in the spring of this year, we have not been able to take our foot off of the gas pedal.  We have been trying hard to keep up with all of our schedules, including planting, harvesting, Saturday markets and delivering.   The start of the Fall CSA has no signs of us slowing down.  We are currently planting for fall and planning for winter!

The addition of the land that was formerly Full Moon Farm's, which we use for our flowers, has proved to be quite exciting.  We hope that our customers that signed up for the flower share are enjoying it.  Sarah is the artist that builds those beautiful bouquets every week.  She has an amazing eye when it comes to combining colors and textures.  I love sharing a customer's joy over her flower arrangements.  The extra land has been a lot of work, but we think we see some amazing potential there."

We sure are grateful for all that hard work, especially in this hot steamy weather.

Now let's gather 'round the table and eat!
