Farm Happenings for June 8, 2023

Posted on June 2nd, 2023 by Mike Finger

Greetings and Welcome to the 2023 Harvest with Cedarville Farm. This is the Harvest Estimate for this Thursday, June 8th.  The items listed are based upon the food preferences that you indicated when you signed up for your share.  Didn't set your preferences? You can set / change them at any time by accessing the "Preferences" tab in your member page on Harvie.  You can further customize your share by swapping items and / or purchasing extra items, until 9 p.m tomorrow night, Saturday.  We've also added several items available for swapping or purchase  during this customization period only, including eggs, fresh pasta, whole chicken, and Oyster Mushrooms. Pork Shares Please Note:  You will soon be receiving a separate Harvest Estimate for the Pork Share exclusively, and this share, too, you can further customize before it is delivered on Thursday.

Wednesday afternoon you will receive a final email confirming your share delivery on Thursday.  This confirmation email on Wednesday will contain specific information about your pick up location, including its address.  If you need help confirming your pickup location, or any other details of delivery or your account, please get in touch with us.  Very Important: Please Return Your Share Boxes each week you return to your pickup site for the next delivery. Fold them flat, without ripping or mangling them, and stack neatly at your pick up site. Speaking of pickup sites ~ Hooray for pickup site hosts! We can't offer this farmer to diner service without willing and generally cheerful pickup site hosts ~ Thanks and Thanks to all of you who've generously offered this support and service to our members.

If you forget to pick up your box, this week or in subsequent weeks, it will remain at your pick up site through Friday ~ though we can't guarantee the freshness / quality of the items in your share past the Thursday delivery date.

We hope you enjoy this week's harvest, heavy on greens as it is.  We have many other items growing along at the farm and will add them to our harvest lists as they appear. We also expect to purchase additional items from local growers and food producers and will be adding them to the weekly harvest lists as they become available.

Happy Salads!

~ Mike, Kim, and Crew
