Farm Happenings for November 5th, 2022

Posted on November 3rd, 2022 by Mike Finger

The customization period for this coming Saturday's (November 5th) farm share is now OPEN and will remain so until nearly midnight tonight (Thursday)!  If you'd like to review or edit the items in your harvest NOW is the time to do so.  Once again, we have a robust list of crops available for this week's harvest , so if you do want to delete, swap, or add items you have some choices available to you.  If the link in this email doesn't connect you to your customization page, you can always log directly into your Harvie member account and customize from that location. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need help with customizing your share.

This Week's Photo:  Fall's presence is deepening of late, with some lovely color starting to show in the woods surrounding our fields, perhaps enhanced by the recent rains. Organic status of your share:  A few of  you have asked us to confirm the organic status of the crops we are packing for you.  Virtually everything we deliver to you, including the product we grow at Cedarville and also that which we purchase from other farms, is certified organic by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.  Currently, the only product we offer that is not certified organic is the fresh pasta from Bellingham Pasta, which is made with only three, non GMO, ingredients: locally milled wheat, eggs, and water ~ a simple recipe, made by a great local business. FYI: Cedarville Farm has been continuously certified organic since 1982 and was the 36th farm in Washington to be certified as organic by the comprehensive state program that has been the law of the land for the past 34 + years. Thanks for your membership and support ~ and THANKS for the boxes many of you have been returning each week!

Yours,

Mike, Kim, and Crew
