Farm Happenings for October 1st, 2022

Posted on September 29th, 2022 by Mike Finger

The customization period for this coming Saturday's (October 1st) farm share is now OPEN and will remain so until nearly midnight tonight (Thursday)!  If you'd like to review or edit the items in your harvest NOW is the time to do so.  Once again, we have a robust list of crops available for this week's harvest , so if you do want to delete, swap, or add items you have some choices available to you.  If the link in this email doesn't connect you to your customization page, you can always log directly into your Harvie member account and customize from that location. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need help with customizing your share.

This week's photo:

This week's photo: Our fall brassica patch is looking mighty fine and on schedule for a long harvest into the later weeks of our season (we pack our last shares December 14th). Our grandpup, Manny, is our happy and robust (maniacal, more like it) farm companion several days a week.  In this photo, he strikes an uncharacteristically stoic pose, nicely framed by the green tones of broccoli, cabbage, kohlrabi, cauliflower, and broccolini. It's a lovely fall thus far, but wants for rain.  A good northwest soaker would be a huge gift indeed. So pray for rain, and maybe it will come soon.

Thanks for your membership and support.

Your Farmers,
