Farm Happenings for September 2, 2020

Posted on August 27th, 2020 by Mike Finger

We are at the height of the summer harvest, the Glorious Season, as Kim once termed it.  We hope the harvest has enriched your summer time gatherings and tickled your palates.  The mornings have grown cool and the daylight arrives and departs sooner, a seeming contradiction to the bounty the farm is producing, yet it is simply the way of things.  We are engaged in a daily routine of harvesting the many crops coming ripe now, while also hustling to clean up spent beds and put in the last of the fall plantings. The chilly mornings cause us to add layers and top off coffee mugs, while moving our minds to consider the colder air and slower pace of the farm in fall.  Thanks for being a vital part of the farm.  ~ Mike, Kim, and Crew
