Just a short update for this week as I just got back from my annual BWCA camping trip. The trip was short, wet, but good. We went up the Gunflint Trail and launched into the BWCA from East Bearskin Lake. After about an hour of paddling it started raining and it didn't stop until we secured a campsite on the next lake. The second day it rained for about 15 minutes every hour all day long. Each time we thought it was going to pass, it started raining again. That's just how it goes sometimes.
It's always difficult to leave the farm, even for a few days. I always want to return to something manageable and I want Lara and our staff to have an easy time harvesting and filling orders and CSA Shares. Lara and the rest of our farm staff did a great job keeping the farming humming along without me. I'm lucky to have such an amazing farming partner in Lara and our farm staff did a fantastic job.
