Farm Happenings for July 3, 2020

Posted on June 30th, 2020 by Christina Houston

Every Monday and Tuesday, I walk through the fields and greenhouses to get a sense of what we have ready to pick. Today, I saw lots of zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, cabbage, and many other things our customers have already seen. If you're new to the CSA program, I welcome you and hope you enjoy your season with us! Generally, I will post a delivery sometime on Tuesdays. Soon, I will be hosting a market every Tuesday, so it may be later in the evening or possibly on Monday. If we get anything new, i will update our list and send out an email for all of you. Whenever I have items ready, I inventory how many we have to offer our CSA members, first. Whatever is leftover will go to the markets and into our farmstand.

I want to thank everyone who is recycling their wax boxes. These boxes hold up really well and are easy to wipe down. I want you to know that I mostly use the same boxes for the same customers, unless I need more or one breaks. I continue to bleach and sanitize each box and allow them to air dry before use. We are getting several orders in, which is amazing! Due to the higher volume, I have changed the pickup time to 2pm. I am still working on having that reflect on our website.

If anyone has any questions, please email me at chouston@bma.us to recieve a faster response than going through Harvie's email system.

Thank you for your great support! View pictures and updates of our farm at www.facebook.com/bmafarmstand. Have a great week!
