So much going on on the farm!

Posted on August 11th, 2020 by Adam Blaney

Good day CSA friends!

We do hope you are all enjoying these August summer days! They will be gone before we know it, and we will be knee deep in fall. Speaking of fall, our Fall CSA share is live for YOU. Beginning this Friday we will be opening it up to the public. So, if you have been enjoying your weekly fresh produce, look forward to fall crops, and look forward to being part of the continued growth and learning experience on our farm, please don't miss out on signing up early before we are full. Share distribution will begin immediately following our summer season, on August 28th. Also, King Farm, just down the road in Albany, will have turkeys available for the holidays. No details just yet, but know that we will be providing that opportunity to connect with them and pick up a local turkey on our farm if you like, when the time comes.

We look forward to working with you for a couple hours on the farm! If you haven't signed up for your work share day, please let us know ASAP before summer is over, and we will get you scheduled. There is a large variety of things we have on our to-do list, so we can find a place for everyone. Thanks to all of you who have put time into cleaning up our fields, planting, and harvesting our goodies!

This last week we said a (hopeful) temporary good-bye to our farm hand Caroline. Many of you have seen her on Friday evenings during your pick up time. She has been a blessing to our farm, but is off to college to further her farming education. Please pray with us for her and her endeavors! In her stead, one of our trusty volunteers has committed to working her hours. We hope you get to meet Jimmy, as he has also been a great worker and a friendly partner on the farm.

We have trays of slicer tomatoes available for canning! Only $20 for a flat (about 16-17 pounds). Please let us know in advance if you would like to pick up a load.

As always, we appreciate you! Blessings for a lovely week...
