Romanesco broccoli are ready!! They aren't as big as I would have liked them to get but they're not going to grow any more! Snow is due any day now! and BROCCOLI!! That late heat we had this fall produced a whole other crop of broccoli. Broccoli plants produce side shoots after the middle is cut out. And they are supper sweet and tender!
I call the romanesco broccoli -"cauliflower," because the texture and flavour is a lot closer to cauliflower, just a lot more flavour (a little nutty too). Try roasting them whole! My girls call them little Christmas trees! #tistheseason :D
Also, I may add ARUGULA as an extra if it makes it through tonight's cold weather! So check your emails Thursday morning incase!
