Farming In August

Posted on August 18th, 2020 by Dacia Williams

One of the hardest months for Farmers. The field sure has been wet and has definitely affected the produce this last week. All the rain and cooler weather is great for some, but for others not so much. We take what Mother Nature gives us and push through.

We hope all that received purple hull peas in their share enjoyed the "new" experience of shelling your own - gives you a little glimpse into farming. We will have a few more to offer this week, but then they are done, but expect black-eye peas to be coming in soon(another shelling experience).

We are looking to do another farm tour at the end of the month or first part of September! Please email me if you are interested in seeing the farm.

Have a great week and keep eating healthy!
