July is a good time of year to be a farmer, that is if you like hot days that seem like they never end :). But seriously, by this point in the season, half of the work is done and now we just have to harvest, which seems to take just about the same amount of work, maybe more if you include the process of selling. I’m especially excited about three crops this season. The blackberries, sweet potatoes, and watermelon. Last year the blackberries were a complete fail due to polar vortex, so it’s been fantastic to get a harvest. Sweet potatoes are a new crop to grow on commercial scale, but they look really nice, so I’m hoping they will turn into a lucrative crop for us to add. Finally, I love watermelon, but I’m quite afraid we will have way too much. We shall see! I hope you all love watermelon as well! Should be ready starting in 2-3 weeks! Farming for fun. Farming for the future!

About the farm
Wild Coyote Farm is a Certified Organic small family farm in beautiful Southwest Michigan, dedicated to organic, regenerative, and sustainable growing practices to produce delicious and nutritious produce and eggs. No synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, or anything harmful to any part of the precious land and environment we steward.
