Fall is here- checking in on the rest of the season.

Now is a great time to pop over to your deliveries page and make sure everything looks the way you want it to for the end of the season, we only have 5 shares left!  Make sure you don't have any shares hanging out on hold that you want to receive, and make sure you're scheduled for the weeks you want to receive shares, especially if you purchased a flex share (our last delivery date this year is October 21st, so if you have a flex share and didn't already move two share deliveries throughout the season, your season may end earlier.  Feel free to change this if you wish!  Don't forget to move egg shares too!

Fall feels like it's officially arrived, and it's a welcome guest on the farm.  We're still so busy with harvests, but are spending more and more time planting cover crops in our field and pulling out old tired plants from greenhouses to be replaced with baby greens.  On a personal note, we're also trying to find time to step back from the farm a bit, as two of your favorite farmers are finally getting hitched in a couple weeks!  We're very excited to celebrate amongst fall harvest on the farm.

This week we've got a fun fall treat- Spaghetti Squash!  I actually prefer not to eat this like true spaghetti (although you certainly can).  My favorite way to prepare it is with garlic and herbs, and a whole lot of good cheese.  Here's a recipe to try from my original favorite food blogger!  We're also experiencing a late season tomato flush as the last of our slicer tomatoes all ripen at once.  What an overwhelming treat.  We've got tomatoes in shares this week, as well as a couple of 10lb sauce flats if you want to preserve a few.  We should have more of these available in the coming weeks.  This is a great time to make some tomato basil soup and freeze it for winter!  Check out the list for more of what's available this week (we're personally excited for baby bok choy's fall comeback) and though our big strawberry flush has passed, we've got a few pints for you to add on or swap in if you like.

I also want to take a minute and thank you so much for your support.  Our farm has grown immensely over the past three seasons, and this season for the first time I feel like we hit the nail on the head with planning and growing and are selling very close to every vegetable we can produce.  We're so happy to have you along for the ride, and for your commitment to eating seasonally and locally for 22+ weeks!  If you have any feedback for us, always feel free to shoot us a reply; we're excited to plan an even better season for next year.

All the best,

Ashley, Caleb and the Sungrounded Crew
