Farm Happenings for April 20, 2022

Posted on April 17th, 2022 by Rahul Anand

The late cold snaps have delayed some of our favorite spring crops this year but after some nice warm weather a couple of good rains they are looking great! Strawberries will finally be in full swing next week and sugar snap peas harvest will begin. Spring onions are starting to size up and our hearty greens like kale and collards will be coming in soon after. For the late spring/summer we have way more tomatoes planted than ever. With some in the field and some in tunnels I predict a good flow of slicers, heirlooms, and cherries starting in May. Cucumbers and peppers are going in the ground this week and field prep will start for eggplants and okra.
