Lately we've been waking up to some pretty cold weather. This morning it was a true -4c. Everything was covered in frost. We've had a number of frosts already this year which means that beans and zucchinis are done for the season.  The cucumbers are probably finished too. Not to worry! There's still lots of cold-hardy vegetables coming your way in our last two pickups.

We had a beautiful summer here in the north, I'm not angry at autumn for arriving, it's just the next phase (my favourite one) of the growing season. We are now shifting to the bulk harvest phase where we will harvest and wash large quantities of root vegetables intended to distributed through the fall and winter..

Our Fall / Winter CSA signup will begin on Wednesday with the link in our Well Vittled CSA Newsletter. This CSA will consist of biweekly pickups of potatoes, carrots, beets, parsnips, cabbage, winter squash, onions and shallots with some other assorted farm food.

There will also be options to add Sleepy G Farm eggs, bread and croissants from the Bakeshop on Boundary, coffee from Rose N Crantz and Maple Syrup from Nor'Wester Maple. The biweekly shares will be customizable through Harvie will be assembled for you at the pickup. Pickups will be on Wednesdays from 3 to 6pm and we are still confirming an indoor pickup location that work for the entire winter CSA season.

The first pickup will be October 21st and the last one will be on February 24th 2021. Due to the uncertainty of our final harvests, spaces in our Fall / Winter CSA are limited and only current members will have an opportunity to sign up. Please look for the link in Wednesday's newsletter!
