Farm Happenings for June 26, 2019

Posted on June 23rd, 2019 by Kelly Tait

Hello everyone,

we hope you enjoyed your first round of veggies. It has been an exciting couple weeks here on the farm with lots of visitors traveling through. A snapping turtle trying to make a nest in our fields, bunnies munching on our crops, deers enjoying every night a dozen heads of lettuce and cabbage and baby painted turtles exploring the grounds. It is fun and challenging at the same time.

Please follow the link if you want to see some pics. My photos are too big to add to this email. I need to change my camera settings for next time. https://www.facebook.com/sharedharvestdunnville/?eid=ARD47miHC46VJc4BCgN_lk7vS19lKqeKq3T_qFpOMJN51mznNUwYq0rkMOYnVt0o0PyQeBi3faSW7L4p

This weekend we were lucky to get our watermelons and melons in the ground, expected crop of 500, let's hope the weather is on our side.

We have a couple of events coming up, filled up Harmonica Retreat this weekend with a concert at The Minga Saturday night.

Every Tuesday weed and feed 5pm to 8pm, come on out and give a hand in the fields, enjoy a bountiful dinner together after..

Turnip The Beets family music festival, here at the farm July 20th, 2pm till open end. https://www.facebook.com/events/492507711489124/

That was just a quick update on the farm. Enjoy this beautiful Sunday!

Best regards,

Sandra.
