The Fifth Week of the Fall CSA Program

Posted on October 16th, 2019 by Tadd Petersen

Welcome to the fifth week of the Fall CSA program! It feels like this Fall CSA season is passing far too quickly and we cannot believe it is already half way over. The farm is thriving and the team has been working hard out in the fields to make sure we plenty of variety for you to select from this week. We are also excited to announce our new partnership with the very talented Dan the Baker.  Dan Riesenberger is a local baker that has built an incredible name for himself in our community.  When you open your email to customize your CSA share, you will be able to add some of his creations from the extras section. For this season, he is preparing Country Sourdough and Black Mountain Rye for our members.  Quantities are limited so make sure to check your inbox!  You can also show your support for Dan by following him on Instagram or Facebook.

Want to know more about Dan the Baker?  He is a quick blurb from his website, "Dan Riesenberger has been baking professionally since 2007. From discovering the benefits of sourdough breads to building and operating a stone hearth, he has had a strong passion for producing wholesome breads for his community.  The majority of Dan’s professional life has been spent in kitchens. He got his start at the Northstar Café as their full-time baker. While working there Dan was gifted a sourdough culture that a coworker had procured from her time at the Cordon Bleu Institute. This sourdough starter has been in constant use ever since."

Let us know what you are eating this week!  Make sure to tag us on social media so we can share with the rest of our community.

Thanks!
