Final Week of the Summer CSA Program

Posted on September 13th, 2019 by Tadd Petersen

We cannot believe the final week of the Summer CSA program is here!  It has been amazing getting to know each and every one of you through the season. It is truly our favorite part of farming and we have enjoyed creating an authentic connection between our farm and your plate.  We want to offer a very sincere thank you to all of you for supporting our small-scale farming operation.  Our team is grateful for your commitment to local food and we hope you have enjoyed the twelve weeks of our program.  We also hope to see everyone for our Fall CSA that begins on Sept 23rd.

For those that have not signed up for the Fall season yet, it is an 8 week season and we have many different seasonal varieties planned for the changing temperatures.  Delicious daikon radishes, fresh potatoes, savory winter squash, sweet pumpkins and so much more have already been planted and will be harvested during the upcoming season.  There are also a few changes that we made for the Fall season that we believe will be more convenient for our members.  Instead of having to subscribe to a protein add on, an egg add on or a bread add on at the beginning of the season and receive an item every week, we are offering a commitment free way to receive these items.  Each week when you go to customize your CSA share, you will also have the option of adding any of these items to your CSA share.  We hope this is a quick and easy way for our members to add items such as a dozen pasture-raised eggs or a pound of grass-fed hamburger meat without having such a large commitment at the beginning of the season.  We cannot wait for the upcoming season so we hope to see you there!

Have a great way to prepare ingredients from your CSA share?  Let us know!  We always like to see the creative ways our members are enjoying the food we harvested from the farm.Make sure to tag us on Instagram or Facebook so we can share with the rest of our amazing community.

Thanks!

The Team at Seminary Hill Farm
