Happy Fourth of July

Posted on June 30th, 2022 by Lynne Schultz

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone has a great weekend plan for themselves. Here on the farm we are gearing up the busy summer season. This week have started digging potatoes so always a start to a busy time. Please note with potatoes this year they are by the pound so that means that is between 3 and 5 potatoes depending on the size so if you need a lot of potatoes make sure that you order a few pounds and not just one pound.

With being the holiday weekend, if you are going to be out on vacation please remember to place you basket on hold for the week. Also due to the holiday cut off time has change to 10pm on Monday. One reason for this is because we don't have any workers this weekend or Monday so we will be adding things Monday afternoon as we get them picked. Not really our choice but with only the two of picking we don't know how fast we can pick everything so please be patient as we add things through the weekend.

We do have a bunch of different meat this week. We just back from the butcher shop and picked up our chicken, pork, and beef so the freezers are stocked. Some new items that we have our new hot dogs and  spilt chicken breast.

On the books for this week is starting our new high tunnel. That way we can get it done by the middle of the month and start getting it planted for the winter months. Nothing is better than having fresh greens and vegetables all season round and that is our goal for the coming year.

Well hope everyone has a safe and Happy Fourth of July.
