Ohio Weather

Greetings from the farm,

I hope everyone has had a great week. We are doing well other than the being knee high in mud from all the rain we have gotten in the last week. However the weather is getting ready to change and it is really starting to look like November this week. Cold and wet. That means next two days we are getting ready for it. We have our high school helpers coming in and help harvest out all the fields of summer crops that are still going. Our one tunnel that has our tomatoes in it will be getting prep to turn on the wood stove to keep it warm at night. That means firewood is getting chopped and wood stoves are getting cleaned out. Also row covers are getting ready to placed on anything that might get some damage to it.

On the good note for this we have a lot to choose from this week. Again a lot of peppers, potatoes, and squash. Which are great to make warm meals to keep you warm. I know on the menu for this week will be roast in the crock pot and chili and maybe butternut soup if I can get my kids to eat it.

Well everyone stay warm and safe this week,

The Schultz Family
