Fall is in the Air

Posted on September 1st, 2021 by Lynne Schultz

Greetings from the farm,

What can we say but we are so excited that we are finally getting some cooler weather. We can finally feel like we can get some work done without having to stop because of the heat. With the fall in the air also the shifting of vegetables and fruits in the baskets. Apples, potatoes, pumpkins and winter squash you will be seeing plenty of it over the next few weeks. Every night we don't have soccer in a night in the field get a load of winter squash and pumpkins out of the field. We are so thrilled to have a get crop of winter squash this year. We will start off here with the three common winter squash spaghetti, butternut, and acorn.  We will be adding over the next few weeks delicatas, Hubbard, cushaw, and candy roasters. So start thinking of creative ways to cook and use winter squash.

Hope everyone has a great week,

The Schultz Family
