School is Here

Posted on August 18th, 2021 by Lynne Schultz

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well. On the farm this week, we are starting to adjust to school starting. Josh and I super excited that our kids are going back to school five days a week. But it is also puts more work on us since our high school kids are back in school. They will continue to work on the weekends and evenings when they can but all are active in sports. Also is you are picking up on Fridays we will have your bags ready by 3 so if you have to pick up earlier that is fine with us. Although school is starting summer vegetables are shooting our everywhere on the farm. So we can enjoy summer a little longer. We do have tons of melons this week canary( yellow), sugar cubes, cantaloupes, and watermelon. So the fruit share is a melons all day. Peppers are cranking out too so many choices. Sounds like we are going to be freezing and canning this coming week. Cowboy candy is our favorite pepper item to can.

Also the hint of fair is almost here made the presence on the farm to day as Sadie's and Michael's meat chickens have arrived and their meat ducks should be here by the end of the week. The kids help their dad this week finsh the turkey tractor which will house the market turkey for fair. They are already weighting 12lb each. They are also working with cows which is now an everyday project.

Hope everyone has a great week,

The Schultz Family
