Farm Happenings for June 1, 2021

Posted on May 28th, 2021 by Lynne Schultz

Greeting from the farm,

Hope everyone is having a great holiday week. We got a lot done this week. We got all of watermelon, cantaloupe, peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant in the ground. We also planted more green beans, cucumbers, summer squash, and zucchini. These items we plant weekly or every other week that way we have a continuous supply of produce coming in. On the planting list for this coming week is basil, artichokes, lettuce, herbs, tomatillos, and ground cherries.

We are already starting to fade into summer items. We got tomatoes and cucumbers for this week. Tomatoes are 2 or 3 tomatoes per pound prices for the tomatoes will come down over the next few weeks but these are the first ones out of the high tunnel. We also more greens to choose from this week.

We will be having CSA member u-pick strawberries  on Wednesday evening from 4pm to 8pm.

Hope everyone has a safe and wonder holiday weekend,

The Schultz
