WE'RE BACK!

We are so very excited to start our CSA back up and get you the food you have been missing. We are working with some awesome new farmers this season and have some cool new things planned.

I am attaching our previous things you should know email in case you missed it or you signed up in the last week. Sorry if you already received this, its a long one I know!

I wanted to send a quick message to give you everything you need to know for this season. I am so excited to share our food with you.

BUCKLE UP THIS IS A LONG ONE! The things that are highlighted are very important so please read them... they are issues we have come across once or twice in the past ;)

If you receive anything that is damaged or missing please notify us immediately. We have several Quality checks in place but sometimes things will slip under our radar. We are always happy to make it right.

Deliveries will be on Fridays with a few exceptions but I will follow up if it pertains to you.
It might be a good idea to set up a calendar reminder too!

If you haven't done so already I recommend going into your profile page and setting up your vegetable preferences. Otherwise, you can expect an email every Friday before your scheduled delivery to give you a reminder and an opportunity to customize that week's box.

We have changed our schedule a bit in order to accommodate the schedules of some of the new farms we are working with!. Availability emails will go out on Fridays (look for the first one this week!) and you will have until Sunday night to customize. We will harvest what we have according to your choices and then pack them and have everything ready for pick up on Thursday or Friday delivery. 

Each item in Harvie will be labeled with certification (Certified Naturally Grown or Certified Organic) and farm origin. It is all up to the standard you have come to know and love and the flavor is really phenomenal.

For home delivery people: please, leave a clean cooler outside of your front door for us to leave your share in. It would probably be best to add an ice pack or two as well and leave it in a shady spot. Our delivery drivers have a full schedule and will try to be in and out quickly.  If you would like to purchase a liviri cooler with ice packs from us please shoot us a message. They are super insulated and can hold temps for 12 hrs.

For pickup peeps: I will have your boxes stacked and ready at West of Third at 3-6pm on Thursdays. Each box will be labeled with your name. There may be multiple shares per box so only take the side of the partition your label is on and double-check your provided list with the items in case we missed anything. Don't be afraid to ask questions, we're there to help :)  Please bring a clean re-usable bag to transfer your produce into.

EBT/SNAP:
If you haven't sent me an email (or spoken to me directly) saying that you will be taking advantage of our 50% off shares, please shoot me an email so I can get you set up in the system correctly and send you a few program guidelines. When customizing your share you are only able to select produce, edible plant starts, dried chiles, or seeds, nuts, and beans with no added ingredients. All other items are ineligible for the 50% off. I will have to manually adjust your share if your box contains anything else such as eggs, meat, etc. These items are still able to be paid with SNAP EBT but will cost the regular amount.

 

How Harvie Works 

Rating products in your preferences is the first way to ensure that what you love is included in your share. Anything rated with a 1 (Not for Me) will never be included in your share. Here’s a brief tutorial on How do preferences work?. To set your preferences ahead of time and make sure your box will be customized to fit them visit this link: https://www.harvie.farm/member/preferences.

After you’ve set your preferences, you can customize your share during the customization period. When the customization window is open, you can swap items for other products and purchase extras. Here’s a great resource that goes over How Swaps and Extras Work.

Please customize your farm share or purchase extras if you like using the link in your email. You will have until 1 pm on Wednesday to make changes to your farm share.

How to Reschedule or Hold Your Share

Have a trip coming up, need to hold a particular box, or know that you’ll want to double up on deliveries on a future date? We’ve got you covered! You can reschedule and hold your shares to ensure your deliveries arrive when they work best for your household. Please make these changes  well ahead of time, as finalized shares cannot be rescheduled or changed once they’re included in a delivery. 

Rescheduling a Share Date

When you reschedule your share, you'll be prompted to pick the next available date at your chosen delivery location, and payment will be moved accordingly.  Rescheduling is available to members within the same season.

We want to build a community of local food eaters here at Rosebird Farms! There are so many creative and interesting people that are members and we want to unlock this community to support all of us in eating fresh and local. We've found private Facebook communities to be a very effective way to communicate, learn, and collaborate in the past so we created a new Facebook group for the season. You can join here.

If you love your Harvie box, please tell your friends. You can both get $25 in credits when you do! You can use these credits for extras purchases to add on to your box. We have about 25 spots remaining so there's plenty of room for all of your friends. PS if you and some friends want to get their boxes delivered to the same location I am more than happy to waive your delivery fee. Just put the same address on your profiles and shoot me an email to confirm.
