Farm Happenings for January 28, 2021

Posted on January 25th, 2021 by Andrea McAdow

Woah SNOW! Today will most definitely be an inside kinda day getting around to the paperwork and taxes I've been procrastinating on... I'm feeling so thankful for this much needed moisture and really hope it'll push along our baby cool flowers that are hanging out in the field.

We were able to snag some fresh CA blueberries this week plus some awesome "cheddar" cauliflower. There is still a ton of amazing citrus up for grabs too Pro tip: save your rinds and soak them in white vinegar for a week to make an easy non-toxic cleaning spray.

In case you missed our housekeeping notes from last week:

Here is the help article on swapping out your share items. It goes over how to swap, when and why you may be charged for extras, and how to set your preferences.  https://harvie.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001667414-How-Swaps-and-Extras-Work

I recommend checking out the Harvie University if you are getting hung up on anything or you can always email support at support@harvie.farm for specific website related questions or me on product related questions.

We do absolutely guarantee our products so if something is not up to par, please do not hesitate to reach out so that we can make it right.

For Pick up, please come armed with your reuse-able bag to transfer your produce into, we will have extras if you forget though! Or you can try to balance everything in your arms, up to you ;) Your box will be labeled with you name, please ask for assistance if you need help finding yours. Some boxes have multiple orders that are divided by an ice pack so please double check that you are only taking your items.

PLEASE NOTE:

We are committed to bringing you the freshest, most flavorful food possible. We are sourcing some products from Southern CA and AZ in addition to those grown on our farms. This will give you a good variety while still allowing you to support local farmers and small businesses.

We want to be as transparent as possible, you will see the source of each product located next to its name.

CA/AZ Organic - California/Arizona grown and organic

RBF CNG - From Rosebird Farms in Kingman AZ, which is Certified Naturally Grown (Organic for little guys like us)

Kingman - From local Kingman farms using organic practices but not certified

SNAP/Double Up Peeps: Keep in mind when you are customizing your basket. The items eligible for the 50% off are fresh fruits and veggies, dried beans, nuts, and fruit without added ingredients, and edible seeds and plant starts only. All other items (i.e. eggs, beef, bread) are still eligible for SNAP but will be 100% of the cost. When you arrive to pick up your box we will take your payment and record your details in our ledger. You can pay for up to two boxes at one time if you would like (current week and next week).

For farm stand orders: If you are paying with SNAP benefits please select "pay offline" you will need to pick up at West of Third as the government currently only allows us to accept payments at our brick and mortar location.

Thank you SO much for your continued support. We truly love delivering food that nourishes our bodies each week.
