The pictures shows some happy beets in the high tunnels. They would not be happy outside in the torrential rains we have had. The truck at the end of the house is not a Uhaul truck. It is The Mule. It carries thousands of lbs of produce from field to barn every week. A real beast! This past week I planted spinach, arugula, salad mx, stir fry mix, turnips and radishes. And we have new lettuce, chard and kale plants to replace the old winter crops. None of this would be possible without high tunnel greenhouses. Having some control of weather conditions is a huge help in having successful crops.
