Patience can be sweet!

Posted on March 31st, 2021 by Elizabeth Gallo

As the days have been getting noticeably longer we have found ourselves longing for summer and the bounty that comes with it. Summer fruit trees are heavy with flowers and immature fruits and many pineapples in our fields have decided to surprise us with something extra (see image above).

Patience is the name of the game as we prepare for the next CSA season by prepping new fields and thinking about future plantings. This week we've been busy planting cucumbers, lettuce and eggplant. Walking around the farm has been extra special, seeing lots of germination from crops seeded in the past few weeks such as beans, corn, pumpkins and lots and lots of brassicas!

This week we have lots of bok choy and lettuce up for grabs as well as the much anticipated cherry tomatoes. We can't wait to share these new crops with you all next season so stay tuned!
