Full-out fruit season has begun!

Posted on July 17th, 2019 by Nate Olive

-We are on to our third week and it's fun watching the season's change before our eyes in such a short time after the summer solstice! The days are getting slightly shorter now, and the fruits have responded. This week we will be featuring some of our first avocados, while the tomatoes have withdrawn a bit but are looking to rebound soon. Some mangoes like Kensington have come and gone, while Kidneys and Manzanas are stepping in. Passion fruits continue to fall in the forest as they please.

In the veggie world, check out this week's micro greens of mustard and red russian kale -they raise the level of home or 5-star restaurant cooking!

Future weeks will have some special appearances by one of the best genip trees in all the land and pamelos that are near optimal sweetness.

This week we have so much to put forward, we encourage you to really craft the box as you'd like.  We would love to move more pumpkins and eggplants. Utilize the swap feature, and also please check out all the extra produce available in the Farm Stand. It's packed!

Also, remember this weekend is our Slow Down Dinner weekend. Sunday is nearly full and there is a lot of room for Saturday. For both nights, we will have live fire dancing with Coral Fire and 6 courses of incredible food!  You can reserve by texting 340-473-1557.

Please send us any feedback, images of meals you've made, or ask any questions. We hope our food brings you joy and wellness.
