Farm Happenings for Week 3

Posted on June 14th, 2018 by Joan Norman

We are very excited to have a couple of clear, sunny days in the forecast for a change. We are hard at work preparing fields and transplanting the late summer crops. The second and third plantings of tomatoes, peppers, corn, etc will be going in the ground over the next couple of days. The past month of rainy weather has severely delayed most of our early summer crops but we are hoping to get a stretch of hot sunny weather to help things get back on track.

New to the availability list this week are cucumbers, radishes, zucchini, yellow squash, beets, and chard. Please note that the cucumbers, yellow squash, and zucchini are all available by the piece - if you see a quantity of '1' in your suggested box that means that you will get one cucumber/squash. If you would like multiple pieces please use the swap feature to customize your box.

We hope you have a great week ahead!
