Farm Happenings for November 5, 2019

Posted on November 1st, 2019 by Lisa Duff

Hello Fall CSA members!

We have a bounty to offer you this week. There could be some cold weather coming which will make the kale, chard and collards sweeter! The 2020 garlic is planted. The overwintered WallaWalla onions are ready to be planted next week. We are pulling the cherry tomatoes out of the tunnel to make way for Fall/Winter greens.

We have a great offer for you from a local lamb producer, FeederBrook Farm. Lisa had someone back out last minute to buy a few lambs from her. She is selling 1/2 ( about a 9# box) and whole (about 18#) lambs right now at a much better price than you can get in the store. Her lamb is delicious! I bought a whole lamb last month. They are raised as lambs should be, with their mamas on pasture with fresh air and sunshine. Please let me know if you are interested.

Bon Apetit!
