Farm Happenings for April 28, 2020

Posted on April 24th, 2020 by Lisa Duff

Hello!

It's been a cold April here if North Baltimore County! But Mother Nature is giving us fairly consistent rain and the couple of frosts we've had we got ahead of and covered tender crops with row cover. So we're chugging along. It's been fun having so much activity on the farm in April. Earliest CSA ever and this is the last week of our April CSA.

We will have hanging baskets and annual flowers for your garden for sale at the farm this Tuesday. They are beautiful specimens from our neighbors, the Radebaugh greenhouses. 4" plants are $3, flats (15 plants) are $30, hanging baskets $20. If you want flats of marigolds, snap dragons, zinnias, alyssum or  cosmos, please pre order with an email to Lisa to make sure we have enough in stock.

We will have gorgeous Floriculture bouquets for sale again this week. April is outdoing herself in April! Let's celebrate her success at flower farming.

Bread this week is country sourdough. Sausages are Chorizo 100% grass-fed all beef from our neighbors, Shady Spring Farm.

The apples are Cameo this week and we have jars of Three Springs fruit apple sauce. Yummy!

Be safe. Stay positive and congratulate yourselves for boosting your immune systems with a nutrient dense, local diet!
