While we endeavor to produce a wide variety of products, dairy has always seemed beyond our reach. That’s why we were delighted when Laban Hufford, a young man whose family milks a small herd of cows just a “country block” away from our farm, told us he wanted to make cheese from their milk and wondered if our CSA members would be interested. Several months later, Laban’s first small batch raw milk cheeses are almost ready for sale and we’re happy to offer them through a cheese add-on to our vegetable and meat shares. The cheese share features a rotation of Cheddar, Colby, Hot Pepper, and Garden Herb cheeses, and we only have a limited number available.
