Farm Happenings for May 21, 2021

Posted on May 17th, 2021 by Kelly Peters

It's been a busy week!  We've planted out 3 of the 6 rows of tomatoes, cucumbers, summer squash, green beans, basil and herbs.  We're finishing up the high tunnel as quick as we can so we can plant the remaining peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, and basil.  Next up for planting is winter squash, sweet corn, dry beans, melons, and more rounds of greens & broccoli.

We have lots of extra plant starts available for purchase!  Or if you know anyone with a community garden, we would also be happy to donate some :)  Most of our starts will come in a 4" pot, but we also have 6 packs available for purchase.  If you prefer to come to the farm stand to pick out plants, we will be open this Friday from 2-6 pm and self serve on Saturday from noon to 4 pm.

This week we have a Honey Mustard Tarragon Dressing with Garlic Croutons from Finca Farm & Pantry as well as lots of extra veggies you can add on to your share!  From Asparagus (Volehalla Farm) to Radishes/Turnips and Bok Choi there are lots of options to supplement your weekly meals.

Thank you for supporting locally grown!

Your farmers,

Lyndsay, Kelly & Patrick
