Thank you all for signing up for the Summer Shares!  We are off to a great start with some beautiful boxes headed your way, full of variety that is increasing daily in this heat!

You will see some awesome new items this week including cabbage, garlic scapes, red kale, zucchini, summer squash and red salt potatoes!  You will also see cherry tomatoes and soon to come large tomatoes!

Don't forget to update your preferences so that our system can star out building a box just for you and then CUSTOMIZE and ADD-ON any extras that you'll be needing for this beautiful Independence Day weekend!

A NOTE FROM Farmer Joe Fox!

Hi!  This is Joseph Fox from Green Ridge Acres.  I hope this finds you all healthy and enjoying the veggies we are growing for you.

You haven't heard from us for several weeks.  We have been busy tending the produce besides all the work which goes with a dairy.  Making hay, hauling manure, clipping pastures and milking and feeding the cows!

We got a new batch of hens four weeks ago and they are starting to lay eggs.  For the first few weeks the eggs are too small to sell.  Soon the eggs you get will be from the new flock.

Our produce looks good. It is starting to get dry so we hope it will rain.  The first tomatoes are ready to eat!  We had more snap peas than we can sell.  When the warm weather came the spinach took off and we gave up trying to keep up with the growth.  We now only pick as much as we can sell.

The horse we use to pull our family buggy broke his front leg.  We had the vet out and unfortunately their was not much she could do about it.  Now we found another horse to replace him.  We named the new horse Sailor.  Now I need to find time to drive him to acclimate him to pulling a buggy!  He is retired from being a race horse.

Please note that if ever any of the vegetables you receive from us are damaged or poor quality we would be glad to replace it.  Thank you all for buying our produce!  Without you we couldn't be doing the subscription boxes!  Best wishes to you all!
