Snowy Days at the Farm!

Posted on January 14th, 2020 by Featherstone Farm

Greetings CSA members! We're in the heart of winter here down on the farm. The supply is slowly dwindling, and we can even see the back wall in one of our big walk in coolers! Although mid-January doesn’t normally ring a bell for Spring being here soon, for us it does. As the snow falls and piles up and we continue to wash and pack for the remaining 4 winter deliveries of your CSA shares, we're also buying in the seed and compost to start plants for this year's summer crop!

In just over 30 days, we'll be seeding the first Kale, Lettuce, and Onions into trays to get them growing for early planting. It is your winter support and early sign up for our summer season that allows us to be able to buy in the necessary product to jump start our 2020 season. Thank you so much for your love of local produce. We couldn’t do it without you!

Stay warm,

Nathan Manfull
