Nathan on Warm Weather Crops and the Harvest

Posted on July 24th, 2020 by Featherstone Farm

The farm is entering an exciting transition period over the next coming weeks. As early crops like Zuchinni, Spring Beets, and Lettuce slow down, our warm weather crops ramp up. Sweet watermelons, and juicy tomatoes are looking healthy and hearty in the field. It won’t be long before we are swimming in cherry tomatoes and muskmelon! It’s an exciting time of year no doubt, and to help with the added work load we just recently got news that four more of our Visa workers have been approved and will be making the 36 hour van ride in the coming days to reinforce our farm crew.

It has been a bit of a whirlwind year (as we all know), but getting our crews back to normal and the tomatoes turning red does start to give me the feel of some level of normalcy. I hope you are yours have been able to find the same in times such as these. As always thank you so much for your support. We could not do what we do without our loyal customer base.

Gratefully,

Nathan Manfull
