Week 13
As we move our way into the heart of Summer, we are already starting to think of the Fall and all the crops that lay ahead for the remainder of the year. Our focus in the past couple of weeks has started to shift toward preparing ground for our extensive Fall vegetable selection as well as moving back into the greenhouse to seed those vegetables for planting into the field. This time of year tends to remind us a bit of Spring, with a lot of anticipation for all the cool weather crops and bringing back a diverse selection of green vegetables (which grow best in the cooler times of the year, Spring/Fall). On Thursday we made a big push seeding 20,000+ plants which include various lettuce, radicchio, broccoli, broccolini, cauliflower, kale and a few other items. We till continue to seed more items to extend our harvest toward the end of the year. It's time to start getting excited for green things again!
