I have started ordering seeds and completed the Spring farm plan, it will be here sooner than we think. Seeds have definitely increased and they are also harder to find. I have some varieties that I hope will grow well and people will enjoy. Until those warmer temps arrive however we will be out in the cold and working to get what crops we have harvested and the older plants removed to make room for spring plants. Strawberries are back for now and hopefully they start to flourish and stick around. Spring onions and garlic are also coming along great, should start to see them in a few weeks.

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
