The famous creole tomato has arrived to the party, they are beautiful and taste great. With many different definitions, the creole tomato has become a sought after staple in our great State, I actually have some of the original(supposedly) creole tomato variety seeds in my freezer. We grew them one year and they ended up staying very small so we didnt try to plant again. I may try this fall to see if I can grow a few for seed and I will certainly announce their outcome. Heirloom tomatoes are getting close to enough quantity and should be available in boxes soon. We also just picked up from Home Place so there will be more protein options again.

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
