Turnips are coming on, should not be too much longer! How about that weather we had last weekend and into early this week, we certainly needed it and boy did we enjoy it! A little rain and some warmer temps in the future for us but it should cool back off soon enough. We are adding more items to the list every week, and I am hopeful we have a good fall crop for you all. One thing I need to mention, when you order anything that is frozen or needs to stay cool we put those items in a foil backed, insulated mailer envelope. Some people have been thinking they are cold packs and throwing them out. I apologize for this because I should have let everyone know before. I hope everyone is enjoying their boxes and thank you all again for supporting local farms!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
