Farm Happenings for August 17, 2021

Posted on August 13th, 2021 by Grady Seale

We have been missing most of the bad weather lately and our crops are loving it! We, along with most other local farmers, have had a horrible summer for squash/cucumber production with all that rain we had. I am not promising an abundant harvest just yet, but as you can see in the picture, we have a good crop growing at the moment! Fingers crossed. We are prepping ground for direct seed plantings of carrots, turnips, radishes, and some braising greens, which we hope to get planted in the next two weeks. It is an uphill battle with the heat and the weeds but its time to start trying. I want to thank you all again for supporting the farm in these tough and trying times, we would not be able to continue farming without yall. I am not sure what the future holds but I can promise we will keep doing our best to deliver the best produce possible to our members.
