I am happy to announce we are picking some spring flowers! It has been a bit chilly on the farm but I have enjoyed not sweating and swatting mosquitoes this week, I know that weather will be here before long. I hope everyone has tried some of our new offerings, trying to keep up with all the new products and local vendors while maintaining my crops and managing my crew can get to be a bit overwhelming! All worth it in the end though, you all have been the glue that held us together through rough seas, and I greatly thank all of you for that. Hoping the incoming weather this weekend is not too bad, we were just starting to dry out from the last monsoon. Take care and eat your veggies!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
