How about this weather!!! Just what we needed to get our Broccoli and Cauliflower growing great! The picture is our first planting of Broc/Cauli that we planted back in August. These plants are doing great and we should start to see some Broccoli in the next 2-3 weeks, with cauliflower not far behind! We have been busy busy at the farm, planting everything we can for the Fall/Winter while the weather is good. Last week we got more carrots/beets/radish/turnips/salad greens and more in the ground as well as some parsley and cilantro! We are just starting to pick Tuscan Kale (my favorite Kale to eat) so keep an eye out for it! Stay healthy and enjoy this weather while it lasts!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
